Meditation for Weight Loss
In this 4 week course, you will learn simple, effective ways to relax and reprogram your brain to improve your relationship with yourself. Meditation is a natural stress reliever, which reduces the production of cortisol, the stress hormone that increases appetite and abdominal fat accumulation. Meditation also increases neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to reorganize and form neural connections. Through meditation, you can change patterns of thought, behavior, and perception, which creates lasting, positive change.
Buddhist Meditation Course
In this 8 week course, you will learn the traditional Buddhist meditation practices of calm abiding (shamatha) and insight (vipassana). These complementary practices develop increased concentration and enhanced mental clarity. In addition, you will learn fundamental Buddhist philosophy and its connection to meditation.
